Our Anti-bribery Commitment
Uzima Chicken is committed to conducting its business in an honest and ethical manner. It has zero tolerance of bribery and other forms of corruption, which are contrary to fundamental values of integrity, transparency and accountability, and undermine organizational effectiveness. The Company does not tolerate any form of bribery, whether direct or indirect, by, or of, its directors, officers, employees, and other workers (including consultants, contractors, trainees, seconded staff, homeworkers, casual workers, agency staff, volunteers, interns and agents) wherever they are located and regardless of whether they are working part-time or full-time, or any person or companies acting for it or on its behalf.
Uzima Chicken is committed to implementing and enforcing effective systems to counter the risks of bribery and corruption. The company has therefore implemented an anti-bribery and corruption policy and a whistleblowing policy that applies to all employees and persons acting for or on behalf of the company. The company also does not conduct business with service providers, agents or representatives that do not support appropriate anti-bribery and corruption objectives. Violations of the anti-bribery and corruption policy will result in disciplinary action, which may include termination of employment based on the relevant applicable laws. Violation can also lead to civil and criminal penalties, including fines or imprisonment for the individuals involved based on the applicable criminal and civil laws.
All employees and persons acting on behalf of the company are encouraged to report concerns or evidence that corruption, fraud, bribery or some other form of misconduct may have occurred or is occurring relating to Uzima Chicken in accordance with the procedures set out in the anti-bribery and corruption policy and whistleblowing policy. The company will undertake the relevant investigations and protect the whistleblower.
